You can estimate by rounding each decimal to the nearest whole # that is easy for yo to add and
subtract. You also estimate by using front end estimation. You can do this by first adding or subtracting
front digits,then do the same with the next digits. You can sometimes cluster data,that is called clustering.
you can do this by rounding a group of close #'s to the same number.
